Amoacy
Berbert Schaustz
born in Nova Friburgo, Rio deJaneiro – Brazil on
May, 3rd 1945 |
Amoacy keeps his work tools in a wood box. Brushes, spatulas, inks
and pens are neatly aligned. But there is an important tool which
doesn’t obey an order when the artist is painting: passion. A
constant presence in each work, Amoacy’s passion to the art reveals
in vibrant colors, in geometric shapes and harmonic compositions.
It was during his childhood in Nova Friburgo that Amoacy discovered
the world of the art. After he moved to São Paulo in 1974, he
started to paint due to a friend’s influence. Glass and velvet were
the materials that got the first flicks. Nowadays, canvas is the
preferred base to create abstract, geometric and figurative forms
with acrylic paint. Strong colours, use of texture and application
of different materials compose his work of contemporary style.
Self-educated, he improved the technique doing a painting course at
the Academia Brasileira de Arte, being rewarded by a colletive
exhibition for the most creative work. Graduated in textile
chemistry, Amoacy lived in Germany and Switzerland where he attended
specialization courses. He has been working with dyes and pigments
for more than 30 years. Always surrounded by COLOUR which reflects
in his paintings. |
